The Colonial Seaport Foundation, based in Deltaville, recently announced Sloop Luna’s sailing schedule in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the country — officially the United States semiquincentennial, branded as America250. Highlights include two weeks of Sail250 events in Virginia, serving as the fleet vessel for both Royal and Patriot navies during historical reenactments, and acting as a floating visitor and welcome center for Middlesex County around the Chesapeake Bay.
