Eli Pittman pitched five scoreless innings, and nine different hitters collected hits as the Deltaville Deltas cruised past the Richmond Avalanche by the score of 14-4 on Friday night in Deltaville.

The Deltas moved to 5-0 on the season, and 4-0 in Richmond NABA league play. This weekend, another undefeated league team, the 3-0 Richmond River Dogs, will visit Deltaville Ballpark for a 7:30 p.m. game Saturday night.

Against the Avalanche, Pittman was joined by Dylan Amend on the mound, with the workhorses of the Deltas early season pitching staff combining for seven innings and seven strikeouts. Justin Hale and Spencer Crittenden also pitched in relief.

Hudson McMinn, Walker, and Crump paced the Deltas hitting with two hits each.

Saturday’s game against the Yorktown Coconuts was scoreless when postponed in the second inning due to storms.
