Dinwiddie Brewjays to make inaugural Deltaville visit Fri.
A hard-hitting Richmond River Dogs team used a pair of home runs, including a fourth inning grand slam, to cruise to a decisive victory on Saturday night, defeating the Deltaville Deltas 14-3 at Deltaville Ballpark.

In an offensive display not often seen by opponents, the River Dogs plated three runs in the second, five runs in the third, and four more in the fourth inning to jump out to a 12-0 early lead. Eleven hits and nine walks issued by Deltas pitching were the downfall for Deltaville.
Deltaville’s offense swung the bat well in later innings, mustering their three runs on RBI hits from Creston Saunders, Scott Crump and Benny Walker.
The undefeated River Dogs moved to 5-0 on the season and took sole possession of first place in Richmond NABA league standings, while Deltaville fell to 4-1 in league play and 5-1 overall.
Deltaville will look to rebound with a pair of league home games this weekend.
