All campers, community members and vacationers are invited to attend the community Sunday worship service at Bethpage Camp-Resort at 9 a.m. Bethpage is located at 4685 Old Virginia St., just west of Urbanna. The non-denominational Christian service is offered in the campground’s amphitheater.

The speaker for the Sunday, Aug. 31, service will be John Ryland, a member of Urbanna Baptist Church. He often serves as a speaker in many Mid-Tidewater area churches.

Another point of interest is that his great-grandfather, John William Ryland, served as the pastor at Hermitage Baptist Church just after the Civil War.

This week’s worship service music will be offered by Charles “Bunny” Dunlevy, a member of Urbanna United Methodist Church.

This is the 44th year that Urbanna Baptist Church and Bethpage have cooperatively hosted the annual summer services.

For information, you may contact Bob Fitch at 804-291-6434 or John Smith at 804-832-7561.
