The 2021-2022 Christchurch School (CCS) varsity volleyball team includes, from left, Kayla Wills (Middlesex County), Emersyn Shackelford (Tappahannock), Mercy Duff, Izzy Kiland (Christchurch), Calista Nelson (Kilmarnock), Garnett Davis (Tappahannock), Kendall Cochran, Jasmin Aberle, Natalie Walden (Hartfield), Clara Veneziano, Sky Stewart (White Stone), Cheyenne Sears (Hartfield), Fiona Shaw (Deltaville), Hali Valadez (Urbanna), Channing Lews (Tappahannock), Namiyah Andrews (Heathsville) and Abigail Smiley (Urbanna). The squad is coached by CCS Athletic Director Mary Rotimi and Mary-Kate Doherty. The team captains are Fiona Shaw and Calista Nelson. Fiona is the daughter of Donna Armento of Deltaville. Calista is the daughter of Farida Nelson of Kilmarnock. The Seahorse girls finished their season 0-9 Monday, falling 3-0 in away action against Kenston Forest, according to MaxPreps.com.
