Bernard Raymond Harrow, 94, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, July 18, 2025.
He was born in Deltaville.
Bernard was a graduate of Syringa High School, and he proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Bernard was a longtime member of Oakwood Baptist Church. He retired from Crane Supply Company, and Ferguson Enterprises.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Loretta Harrow; his parents, Earl and Annie Harrow; and sisters, Charlotte Harrow and Marie Batley.
Bernard is survived by his children, Debra Merriman of Chattanooga, Sandra (Doyle) Williams of Camden, Tenn. and Terry (Shirley) Harrow, of Chattanooga.
He was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild is on the way.
Bernard is also survived by three sisters, Earline (Charles) Perkinson of Deltaville, Eleanor (Wade) Hudgins of Virginia Beach, and Carolyn Dize, of Mathews; and brother Charles (Loretta) Harrow, Maidens; and also a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service is planned for noon Wednesday, July 23, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Air Force Honors in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time at North Chapel.
