The Dec. 23 issue of the Southside Sentinel is the final one of the year. The staff is now on its annual Christmas week vacation and the next issue will be published on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022. There will be no Dec. 30 edition.

Charles Melvin Bennett Sr., 87, of Saluda passed away on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021. Charles was a champion skeet shooter. He enjoyed boating, golf, hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with family and friends.
