Cub Scout Pack #341 staged a dynamic race event on Feb. 21 at Christ Church Parish (Episcopal) in Christchurch. Before an audience of 65 attendees, the annual Scouts Pinewood Derby rolled off the starting block to cheers and squeals.
This action-packed event consisted this year of two classes of cars: Derby cars made by Cub Scout Pack members and cars made by parents and grandparents! There were 20 Scout cars and five Adult cars.
Scout leaders underscored that the Pinewood Derby is a special event designed also to educate the Scouts in the principles and disciplines of science…
