Holly Point Market “soft” opening coming May 1

Stepping Up: With the re-opening of the Deltaville Maritime Museum, the Holly Point Market (seen from a pre-pandemic year in photo at left) and the full 2021 Groovin’ in the Park music schedule coming up May 1, work continues apace in the waterfront park area, home of the Groovin’ series. Thanks to a generous member of the museum for donating the funds for the project. All of you who wish to help get the park ready, please come out this Saturday, April 10, at 9 a.m. and join all the volunteers and staff to make the park shine! (Photos by Bill Powell)

As the COVID-19 numbers drop and restrictions relax, volunteers and staff at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park are busily preparing the museum, park and their facilities for the upcoming 2021 events season. This year, planned opening weekend festivities are set for Saturday, May 1.

The museum and park are currently reaching out to all our vendors to invite those still available to have a “soft” 9 a.m.-1 p.m. re-opening of the market on May 1. The attending vendors will be spaced with one empty space between each vendor. Masking will still be required. All current COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines will be followed.

Due to the 14-month COVID-19 hiatus, many Holly Point Market vendors went into COVID-19 enforced “hibernation.” It may take several markets for them all to regroup and get back on board. We begin the journey May 1. Help us get there.

Any and all vendors who are interested in joining the market, please call the museum office and reserve your space.
