NAACP announces two COVID-19 vaccination events

The Middlesex NAACP will host a vaccination clinic from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Calvary Baptist Church, which is located at 3971 General Puller Highway in Saluda. Vaccinations will be given by the Three Rivers Health District staff members. They will have the COVID-19 vaccinations (all shots to include the booster) for children and adults. So, if you have not gotten the vaccination or need a booster, they will have it available. They will also have the flu shot on hand.

A second Middlesex NAACP vaccination clinic is planned for 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the American Legion Post 82 meeting hall located at 92 Watson Landing in Saluda. It will also offer information about the upcoming Middlesex Founders Day / Black History Event.

The NAACP is currently conducting a membership drive. It started on Jubilee (Jan. 1, 2023) and runs to Juneteenth (June 19, 2023). Membership in the NAACP is the lifeblood of the organization. If you would like to join or renew, call 804-210-6051 or email middlesexnaacp@gmail.com.
