Chargers currently number two in district,
are expected to return to action this week

The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity and junior varsity boys basketball teams did not play any games last week, due to the icy and snowy weather throughout the region.

This week the Chargers played Tidewater District foe, the Charles City Panthers, on Tuesday, Feb. 3, in the John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium at MHS.

MHS is scheduled to travel to Carver College and Career Academy today, Thursday, Feb. 5, to take on the Wolverines and to the Eastern Shore of Virginia on Friday, Feb. 6, to play the Nandua Warriors. The tip-off time for each game is set for 7 p.m. (A 5:30 p.m. junior varsity game generally precedes the varsity matchup.)

The Chargers are currently in second place in the Tidewater District with a 5-2 district record. King William is currently in first with an undefeated 8-0 district record. Middlesex is 6-6 overall in the win-loss column.
