The RAL Art Center, located at 19 Main St. in Kilmarnock, welcomes October with three exhibitions: an exhibit by visiting artist Christopher Wagner and two member exhibitions, “Photography and Digital Art” and “Autumn Colors.”
Wagner judged RAL’s 64th Labor Day Art Show last year, is a sculptor who has an MFA and is employed by the College of William and Mary. The 33 original artworks in “Photography and Digital Art” include photography and digital entered by member artists. The 43 original works in “Autumn Colors” include drawings, paintings, pastels, mixed media, fused glass, and fiber art.
Wake resident Steve Kancianic, certified professional photographer and owner of Kilmarnock-based Yours Truly Photography, judged both of the members shows. Stephanie Brown, executive director of RAL, presented his choices for awards as well as his comments at a public reception on Friday, Oct. 2, at the RAL Art Center.
