The Middlesex High School (MHS) Chargers wrestling team was paced by Cole Ruark at the Virginia Class 1 wrestling championships on Friday and Saturday, February 21-22, in Salem.
Ruark was the highest finisher for the Chargers. He finished third in state in the 170-pound weight class. The MHS senior defeated Charles Bullock of Covington High School in the third-place match and ended his season with a 36-7 record.
