Veolia Catherine Scott, 82, of Saluda, daughter of the late Betty C. and Allen L. Lewis, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Theodore B. Scott; sisters, Dorothy Banks and Betty Armstrong; and sister-in-law, Leatha Lewis.
Survivors include her son, Garnell (Deborah) Scott; two daughters, Veolia (Glenn Sr.) Hawkins and Sharon Scott; five grandchildren, Garnell (Nikki) Scott Jr., Jaron (Shavia) Scott, Jaris Scott, Shannon Hawkins and Glenn Hawkins Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Gia, Rose, Myracle, Mia and Marcellus. She also leaves behind four brothers, Allen (Benita) Lewis, Earl (Mary) Lewis, William Lewis and Walter Lewis; and two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Marcellus) Boyd and Sarah (Seymour) Scott.
Viewing is set for 3-6 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, Shacklefords. In compliance with the safety guidelines for COVID-19, all attendees are to wear face masks.
The family will have a private graveside service at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 17, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Saluda.
