All Saints Anglican Church prepares for Trinity Sunday

The Right Rev. Jeffrey S. Johnson, left, rector of All Saints Anglican Church in Saluda, and Crucifer Smith Hopper show off their red vestments symbolizing the “tongues of fire.” They led the congregation at All Saints on Pentecost Sunday, also known as Whitsunday, the time when the Holy Spirit appears as tongues of fire and empowers the disciples to fulfill their mission to tell the world about Jesus. The complete story can be found in Acts 2 of The Bible. (Contributed photo)

All Saints Anglican Church in Saluda is preparing for Trinity Sunday, which is set for 11 a.m. June 7, with special music prepared by baritone soloist Mark Harrison. The Trinity is the one true God in Three Persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The members of All Saints Anglican Church, located across the street from the old and new Middlesex County courthouses, have been worshiping while practicing social distancing along with cleansing of the pews, altar rail and doors during the coronavirus pandemic. All Saints’ church building has plenty of room for visitors while complying with the Virginia government guidelines.

All interested in learning from the Word of God are welcome to come for Bible Study at 10 a.m. in the parish hall and baptized believers who believe in the real presence of the Body and Blood of Christ are welcome to receive the sacrament during our Holy Eucharist Service at 11 a.m. Sunday in the church.
