The Urbanna Town Council is considering ways to open the Taber Park playground for limited use. This would require an employee be at the playground when it’s open to monitor activity to assure compliance with Centers for Disease Control guidelines, and to sanitize the equipment.
Although the playground is closed due to COVID-19, children have climbed the fence to use the equipment, said Mayor Diane Gravatt, adding that signs should be installed indicating that tell those using the equipment do so at their own risk. Councilors George DeVries and Bill Smith agreed.
