At a recent Middlesex County Kiwanis Club meeting, the guest speaker was Dr. Tracy Seitz, superintendent of Middlesex County Public Schools (MCPS).
The topic that Dr. Seitz chose to speak about was “community.” She said that Middlesex schools host many community events, such as the recent forum for candidates for the Middlesex County sheriff position. MCPS is proud to be an active supporter of our community, she said.
Dr. Seitz pointed out that one of the sites that has been well-used by the Middlesex community since 1949 is Middlesex High School (MHS). A recent engineering review of current space use at MHS revealed that many aspects of the building do not meet current Virginia Department of Education and ADA space standards.
