Sherry Lynn Bristow Salmon was born on July 26, 1949, and went to heaven on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at the age of 76.
She was married to Danny Lee Salmon for 58 of those years. Together they raised four children, Danny Salmon (Karen), Wendy Shores (Lance), Shelby Salmon and Jeffrey Salmon.
She spent her years as a homemaker doing what she loved most, which was taking care of her family and all of the neighborhood children. She loved cooking, reading, camping and tending to her many household plants. She also loved animals and had many pets throughout her lifetime. She was a caregiver by nature. She fostered four children in Middlesex County, and she also donated her time as a hospice volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor Lewis Bristow and Maggie Jane Blackburn Bristow.
She is survived by her husband; four children; 13 grandchildren, Blake, Haley and Kayla Salmon, Lauren and Meghan Shores, Ian, Natasha, Keira and Zoe Stoll, Collin Salmon, Zachery, Lanie and Devon Salmon; and two great-grandchildren, Kaison and Karsen Lee.
A graveside service is planned for 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 at Hermitage Baptist Church.
