The St. Clare Walker Middle School girl’s basketball team rallied late to notch another win by defeating Lancaster Middle School 26-13 on Sept. 24.
St. Clare Walker’s Lady Seahawks trailed 7 to 4 at the end of the first quarter, and didn’t improve in the second quarter and were down 9 to 7 at halftime.
However, in the third quarter the Lady Seahawks outscored Lancaster 8 to 4 for a 15-13 lead.
In the fourth quarter the Seahawks pulled away scoring 11 points while holding Lancaster to 3 points. The 26-13 win improves the Lady Seahawks record to 4-1.
Results for the Lady Seahawks include, Skylar Beverley, 15 points, four steals, assist; Adrielle West, 4 points, four steals, two assists, two rebounds; Tia Hodges, 3 points, rebound, steal; Malaysia Muse, 2 points, two rebounds, three steals, assist; Amari’onna Sutherlin, four rebounds; and Makayla Hammond, rebound.
