Not a single citizen sounds off during last week’s hearing on proposed Middlesex budget

The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors (MCBS) is expected to vote on a $29 million fiscal year 2021-2022 budget (FY 22) today, April 29, at 7 p.m. If passed as proposed, it will increase personal property taxes on vehicles, jet skis, recreational vehicles, campers and some trucks. The county real estate and mobile home tax rate will not change.
There were no comments from the public during an April 22 public hearing on the budget that was conducted online via Zoom. Supervisors are required by law to wait seven days after the budget public hearing before voting…
