Middlesex Pet Friends For Life Volunteer Coordinator Maggie Gerdts, far left, accepts a slip of paper last month announcing a $60.34 donation from Shannon Wilson, 7, and Thomas Wilson, 4. The siblings mother, Katie Wilson, and the family’s rescue dog, Roscoe, watch. The donation represents half the proceeds from the children’s Urbanna lemonade stand. (The other half was earmarked for their piggy banks. However, since their endeavor was cut short by a thunderstorm, they robbed their piggy banks some to increase the donation.) A friend, Evan Cunningham, 3, also participated, but was unavailable for the photo. (Contributed)
