Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin named Lloyd Taliaferro, a 1991 graduate of Middlesex High School (MHS), to the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) Board of Visitors.
Taliaferro is a 1995 graduate of VMI, where he received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He also has a masters in business administration from Emory University. He served as a U.S. Naval officer and currently owns a corporate finance consulting firm, Gosport Ventures in Norfolk. He also lives in Norfolk.

He is the son of Bill and Linda Taliaferro of Montague Farms, Center Cross. Linda is a retired MHS math teacher and Bill is a retired farmer.
