Charger Kai Evans to play in Class One championship event Oct. 13 at Hobbs Hole
Lancaster scored a team low 328 to claim the Region 1A golf championship at the Golden Eagle Golf Club in Irvington on Sept. 30. Northumberland shot a 354, to finish in second, edging Rappahannock of Warsaw by a stroke.
Lancaster and Northumberland will move on to the State Class One championships on Oct. 13 at Hobbs Hole Golf Course in Tappahannock.
In addition, the three low golfers not on these teams advance to the state tournament and include Kai Evans of Middlesex, Gus Sanford of Rappahannock, and Brandon Hubbard of Mathews.
