MHS track girls finished 17th in state track meet

The Middlesex High School (MHS) girls track team finished 17th in the Virginia Class 1 track and field state meet at James Madison University last Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Chargers scored 13 points in the state meet. Iyana Jenkins scored 7 points for MHS as she finished third in the 300 meter intermediate hurdles (47.90) and eighth in the 100 meter high hurdles (16.86). Karadee Anderson finished sixth, shot  put (34’ 9.5”) and Bailey Bagby sixth, high jump (4’ 8”).

Anderson finished ninth in discus (89’ 4”) and Elena Fomin participated in the pole vault but did not make the starting height along with six other participants.
