Middlesex High School’s (MHS) girls tennis team (3-3) fell to Rappahannock of Warsaw on Tuesday, April 28, in home action. The match score was Raider girls 7, Charger girls 1. However, the score does not reflect how well the MHS girls played.

“A lot of great points were played,” said MHS Head Tennis Coach Matthew Short, noting the many long rallies. “The score might have been a loss, but there’s a lot to be happy with. Our team has to remember they are all new at tennis, but learning and improving so quickly.”

Coach Short added, “Our young players are going up against the best of the teams we play and they’re getting great experience that’s only going to help them improve.”
