‘Great talent’ coming back from last year’s
Middlesex girls and boys track teams

The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger and Lady Charger track teams have several 2025 state medalists returning to compete on the 2026 teams.

Lambert was the anchor 800-meter leg runner on the 2025 state championship 4 by 800 meters relay team. MHS has two middle distance runners, Gunnar Marston and Darius Jones, returning from that state championship team. The other member of the team was Thomas Dobb, who was also lost to graduation. Four hundred meter ace Kevin Turner and distance ace Chris Butler are expected to run legs on the relay this year.

The Chargers also lost state champion triple jumper JaQuan Griffin to graduation, but his brother, Davonte Griffin, is returning. The Chargers also have JaMar Hammond and Turner returning. Hammond finished fourth in the state last year in high jump and Turner placed fifth.
