MC supt.: All must mask in schools

When students return to school Aug. 23 “everyone” who enters a Middlesex County Public Schools building will be required to mask, reported School Superintendent Tracy Seitz at the Middlesex County School Board (MCSB) meeting Monday night.

Dr. Seitz stated that Virginia Senate Bill 1303 “requires each school board to provide such in-person instruction in a manner in which it adheres (to rules)  “. . .  to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 that have been provided by the federal Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).”

The school superintendent said that she met with the MCSB attorney this week and it was made clear to her that CDC rules require masking and….
