Mary Phyllis Eagle, 83, of Saluda died on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.
Mary loved bowling and watching baseball and the Washington Redskins play. She also enjoyed old western movies and relaxing on the beach. She was an avid member of Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church and Saluda Baptist Church, where she loved to worship God.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Myrtle Thompson; her beloved husband, Harry; and siblings, Pete and Margaret.
Mary is survived by her children, Marie Croxton (Bobby), Timmy Oliver (Sherry), Pam Black (Kevin), Tammy Johnson (Scott), Tracy Burke (Jimmy), Dennis Oliver (Ashley); nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four siblings.
The family of Mary Eagle thank Dr. Frank West, Dr. Sarah West, Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, and the Hospice staff for their loving care.
The service was conducted at Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m.
In memory of Mary, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice at 7358 Main St., Gloucester VA 23061, and to Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 98, Deltaville, VA 23043. Services are under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home and Crematory in Gloucester.
