Mary L. “Jackie” Moore, of Stormont, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 14, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John M. “Buddy” Moore; and her son, Matthew T. Moore.
She is survived by her son, John A. Moore (Andrea); granddaughter, Emily (Noah); and great-granddaughter, Grace and Anna (Mike).
Jackie was born on Aug. 26, 1928, in High Point, N.C. She volunteered around the county for decades and enjoyed reading about politics and donating to causes she was passionate about. She was an avid gardener, fiction novel reader, and loved decorating for each holiday to make them extra special for her family. She was a proud dog owner, always giving them extra treats and love.
The family thanks the team at Riverside Hospice for their care and compassion. A private service was conducted at her home, Pleasant View Farm, on Tuesday July 18.
