The Middlesex High School (MHS) girls cross country team had four girls to compete in a five-team meet at Lancaster on Wednesday, Oct. 20. The Lady Chargers competed against the Red Devils, Northumberland, King & Queen Central and Essex.
Kendall Lucas paced the Lady Chargers with a time of 30 minutes, 31 seconds and Sophia Koontz finished second for the team with a time of 31:36 over the 5K course.
Kyla Blazek finished the 3.1-mile race in 33:19 and Kaylyn Shultz finished fourth on the team with a 40:41 time. MHS did not have enough runners to make a team as five harriers are required.
The Lady Chargers competed Wednesday, Oct. 27 in the Tidewater District cross country meet at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg. Results were unavailable at press time.
MHS boys cross country results were also unavailable for both this week and last week.
