Christchurch School (CCS) Athletic Director Joel Jorgensen said he is pleased to announce that Middlesex County’s own Elizabeth Ketner has been hired to lead the school’s volleyball program as head varsity coach. Ketner is no stranger to CCS’s Yarbrough Gymnasium, having coached the JV team a couple of years ago.
She said, “I’m ecstatic to get back into the Christchurch program. The players, staff, and other coaches made it such a memorable experience. I can’t wait to make more memories and grab some wins!”
Elizabeth grew up in Urbanna and played volleyball for the Middlesex High School Chargers. She went on to play libero at Roanoke College.
Jorgensen said, “We are excited to have Elizabeth join our community and lead our girls program. Her familiarity with the school, along with her local ties, made Elizabeth stand out as the right head coach. She is already organizing workouts, and the girls are excited!”
