Several hundred people attended the Oct. 4 One Community Under God (OCUG) service. It was a morning of worship, music and fellowship. OCUG was hosted by 12 Middlesex County churches and presented at the Urbanna firehouse.
The focus was “We Will Not Be Divided!” Ministers of the churches shared scripture from the Bible that supported that statement. A variety of music was provided by George Robinson and The Gospel Robins, Bunny Dunlevy, Beth Justice, Daniel Caskie and Clayton Neal. Fellowship included a light lunch served following the service.
Offerings were accepted that will benefit a program through The Cryer Center for children in need via Backpack Buddies. If you would like to contribute, you may write a check to Urbanna United Methodist Church with OCUG on the memo line. Mail it to UUMC, P.O. Box 217, Urbanna, VA 23175.
