Herman L. Walker, 90, of Highland Springs, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
Born on Jan. 26, 1935, in Richmond, Herman lived a full and cherished life.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Lottie Meador and Roy Houston Walker; his brother, Robert Edward Walker; his sisters, Lottie “Dolly” Rankin and Erna Walker Bew; and his beloved wife, Nancy Foster Walker.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Walker Ludeke (Mack Franklin), and her children: Brett Ludeke (Saera), and Erica Hutchison (Cameron) and her children, Grady and Sawyer. His memory will also be cherished by his step-son, Al Palmer (Ellen), and his children, Lindsay Marr (Jason), Ross Palmer, Sara Palmer (Jayson Dorman), and her children, Brielle, Cora, and Finleigh.
A funeral service is planned for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
