Griffin paces MHS boys track team

The Middlesex High School (MHS) boys track team finished third as a team scoring 62 points in the King William Track and Field Classic on Saturday, March 28.

Davonte Griffin paced the Chargers with a first place finish in the high jump (6’) and met the 1A state standard and would have qualified in the 2A state. Griffin also finished, fifth, 110 meter hurdles (19.82); fourth, 300 meter hurdles (44.64); and fourth, triple jump (38’ 7.5”).

The Chargers 4 x 800 meter relay team finished first in the event (9:09.2). Chris Butler, Darius Jones, Gunnar Marston and Kevin Turner each ran a leg…
