Elizabeth Ailsworth Fuller

Elizabeth Ailsworth Fuller of St. Petersburg, Fla., was born March 5, 1933 in Deltaville.

She was called home on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020.

She is survived by her children, Christine Weigle of Pinellas Park, Fla., Bill Fuller (Georgia) of Raymore, Mo., Kathy Anne Hamlin (Dick) of Greenville, S.C., and Leza Mueller of Gainesville, Fla., 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Steinmetz of Sarasota, Fla., Dorothy Burroughs (Coles) of Hudgins, and Patricia Gwitt of Sandy Springs, Ga.; and brother, H.A. “Mike” Ailsworth (Marika) of Herndon and Deltaville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Fuller; parents, Robert D. and Lelia Ailsworth; brothers, Dr. Robert D. Jr., J. Raynor, and Alfred Ailsworth Sr.; sisters, Evelyn Apsley, Amanda Payne, and Phyllis Ailsworth.

“Betty,” as she was fondly known to family and friends, lived in numerous states throughout her life, but always considered Deltaville home. She cherished her children and grandchildren. She always had a ready smile, an infectious laugh and welcoming home.

A celebration of life will be conducted in the spring at Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville.
