Church Briefs: October 2, 2025

Has your child pre-registered for the Robotics+Coding program later this month at Christ Church Parish (Episcopal)? This is a friendly reminder that the registration deadline of Oct. 10 is just around the corner. This program is for 12 to 15 year olds, enrollment is limited, and acceptance is first come, first served. There is no fee and no prior robotics or programming experience is expected.

In case you missed the Southside Sentinel article appearing during the week of Labor Day, this is the basic schedule:

• 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 18 — Assemble robot cars and see what they can do without additional programming.

• 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 25 and Nov. 1 — Introduce and build upon programming/coding skills to control these little cars.

If you wish to receive a pre-registration form with more details about what to expect, email Ann de Peyster at adepeyst@sdsu.edu or call or text 858-699-3599.

It’s not too late to share this unique opportunity with any friends or family members with children who might be interested, emphasizing the upcoming registration deadline.
