Hermitage Baptist Church’s drive-through living Nativity display is set for 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at 94 Wares Bridge Road in Church View. Its children’s Christmas pageant is set for 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18. It will have two Christmas worship services — one set for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24 (Christmas eve), which will feature a candlelight program, and one set for 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25 (Christmas day), which will feature casual worship.

The rain date is Dec. 16. This year, in addition to the living Nativity characters, you may see live animals. Church choir members and community members will be on hand to sing Christmas carols. Come join them for this festive evening. You may remain in your car and drive by the scene, or you can park and view it “up close and personal.” There will be someone to direct you to parking. They welcome you to join in the singing.

Christchurch School will present “A Festival of Lessons and Carols” on Thursday, Dec. 15, in St. Peter’s Chapel on the school’s campus. There will be two seatings – one at 4 p.m. and one at 6:15 p.m. The festival will include performances by the Cantorion ensemble, soloists, and readers. The public is invited. There is no charge for admission, but seating is limited and reservations are necessary.
