The St. Clare Walker (SCW) Middle School Seahawks soccer team put the finishing touches on a historic 2026 campaign, establishing it as an absolute power on the pitch from start to finish. Fueled by an unstoppable offensive engine and a stingy defensive unit, the Seahawks overwhelmed their competition across their entire schedule, amassing an eye-popping 75 total goals while conceding just six goals all season long. The team is officially co-ed, but no Seahawk girls opted to participate this year.
“Our overall team mentality and commitment to working together is what truly sets this group apart,” said SCW Head Coach Conley Clark Laster IV. “Every single player steps onto the field ready to support one another and execute their job.”
The tone for SCW’s undefeated run was set early in mid-September with back-to-back road victories against Northumberland (12-1) and Lancaster (7-3). Returning home on Sept. 21, the Seahawks delivered a statement 13-0 shutout against Richmond County before rolling past Montross 6-0 on the road three days later. The squad maintained its relentless standard throughout October, recording a 7-0 victory at Richmond County, an 11-1 home triumph over Montross, and capping off their stellar year with a convincing 6-1 home victory against Lancaster on October 19.
