Christ Church Parish trio visits National Museum of the Marine Corps

Three representatives from Christ Church Parish’s Fellowship Committee’s Veterans Ministry met on Sept. 10 with key leaders at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Prince William County to strengthen a relationship celebrating the legacy of  U.S. Marine Lt. General Lewis B. Puller.

Lt. General Puller, a former active parishioner at Christ Church Parish, is laid to rest in the  church cemetery. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he moved to Saluda. He was a member of Christ Church and on the church’s vestry.

Christ Church Parish (Episcopal) is the home of the annual  Lt. Gen. Lewis B.  “Chesty” Puller memorial formation run, now in its 34th year. The run is slated to take place on Oct. 8 and is open to the public.

Christ Church Parish also sponsors a Veterans Day luncheon open to all veterans in Middlesex County.
