Middlesex Co. resident joins Chesapeake Academy faculty

Rosetta Struse

Is also alumna and school parent

Chesapeake Academy announced last week the hiring of a Middlesex County resident to fill multiple key positions. Rosetta Struse will teach pre-kindergarten 3 and 4 through second grade at the Irvington-based school, as well as teach Physical Education (PE), Lower School Art and Extended Day Caregiving.

Struse is a Chesapeake Academy alumna and the parent of a Chesapeake Academy student. She brings five years of school experience to the challenge. Struse spent 12 years as a dental assistant, and has been an active volunteer in after-school programs for children.

Head of School Julie Duvall said, “Rosetta Struse’s four-year track record in Chesapeake Academy’s extended day program and as a substitute teacher and dedicated volunteer proved her flexibility, creativity, competence, and resourcefulness! She will be an invaluable member of the team!”
