The Christchurch School volleyball program wrapped up its season recently with a final home game in the Seahorses Yarbrough Gymnasium. The seniors celebrated Senior Night with their families and the school community during the lidcloser.
The varsity team enjoyed a strong season with wins over Trinity Episcopal, Westmoreland, Chincoteague, Colonial Beach, Miller School of Albemarle, Veritas, Grove Christian and Walsingham Academy.
The varsity team was led by captains Sienna Rowe of Urbanna and MaryClare Hodges of Heathsville.
Christchurch volleyball competes in the VISAA Division II with Atlantic Shores Christian, Cape Henry Collegiate, Chatham Hall, The Covenant School, Cristo Rey, Evergreen Christian, Foxcroft, Fredericksburg Christian, Grace Christian, Hampton Roads Academy, Highland School, Immanuel Christian, Isle of Wight, King Abdullah Academy, Miller School of Albemarle, Nansemond Suffolk Academy, Norfolk Christian School, Norfolk Collegiate, North Cross, Peninsula Catholic, Randolph-Macon Academy, St. Anne’s Belfield, Seton School, The Steward School, StoneBridge School, Trinity Christian School, Veritas School, Virginia Academy and Virginia Episcopal School.
