Region 1A’s first tournament round
The 2025-2026 Middlesex High School Charger (MHS) baseball team is coming off last year’s fairly strong 11-9, 8-3 season in which it reached the first round of the Region 1A baseball tournament and was Tidewater District runner-up.
The Chargers also have experienced players coming back as first team — all Tidewater District and second team All-region shortstop Bryson Bulgin and second team All-region pitcher Henry Fleet are returning this year.
Middlesex, however, faces a setback with the loss of outfielder and pitcher Jakub Bowen to transfer. He transferred to New Kent High School. Bowen was named to the second team All-region pitcher and outfielder…
