Deltaville Maritime Museum (DMM) Holly Point Nature Park enters the heart of its 2021 events season this Saturday, July 24, as more and more vendors fill the park. The big band sound of “Good Shot Judy!” takes us for a “Groovin’ in the Park” tour through the roarin’ days of the fox trot, the Charleston and the “Shimmy” — all with that Las Vegas feel. There will also be live music by David Moran during the 9 a.m.-1 p.m. market and free workboat tours and cruises with “Cap’n Pete” at 10 a.m. at the museum’s Mill Creek “Pierwalk” on the deadrise “Jennie May.” Don’t forget all the outside exhibits.

Yes, this Saturday, July 24, is Holly Point Market time 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and “Groovin’ in the Park” time 5-8 p.m. The market features 30-plus vendors. The museum opens an hour early….

Deltaville Maritime Museum –

The waiting is over!

Billz Bistro, the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s all-volunteer food concession for all museum events, will be, for the 3rd year, offering its special once-a-year brunch at the November 23 annual Holiday Gift  Market. The Bistro is located inside the events pavilion’s north wing. Marty will also be bringing his swineskins, his new flavors, and his funnel cakes to the waterfront vendor area. The Holiday Gift Market and brunch will be the weekend before Thanksgiving this year.

The “BistroBenedictBloodyMaryBrunch” will open at 8 a.m. and continue until the eggs run out, usually around 1 p.m. Our expanded breakfast menu features freshly-baked biscuits, our popular onion-laced hash browns, and country ham biscuits and egg sandwiches. Added to the menu will be a two-egg breakfast plate and a BistroBenedict,  which is two over-easy eggs served on an open biscuit with the Bistro’s own recipe Hollandaise Sauce and an orange section. The Benedict is also offered with crab meat, bacon or country ham.

A bar serving bloody Marys, mimosas and screwdrivers, served by Buncher Tom Lively, will complement the Brunch.

The Holiday Gift Market starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, November 23, and runs until 2 p.m.  Some vendors will be set up in the open section of the events pavilion for convenient browsing, and the remainder will be just outside in the Waterfront Park area. All the vendors are bringing their gift-oriented wares.

If you are a vendor and have holiday or gift items and would like to be a part of the Holiday Gift Market, please call the museum office and ask for Kristen or Renee.
