Her family is very heartbroken to announce that Ann (Snookie) Wake Leggett, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leggett; and leaves behind her daughter, Kimberly; and grandson, Justin.
Mrs. Leggett spent almost 50 years as a teacher. After retiring, Mrs. Leggett took up line dancing and water aerobics and was a member of the nurse’s unit at Peace Baptist Church.
In the past few years, Ann bravely battled cancer and other health issues before succumbing to complications during rehabilitation.
Family and friends are invited to share in the celebration of her life during the public viewing on Friday, Oct. 29 at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, 3632 Lewis B. Puller Memorial Highway, Shacklefords, from 5 to 7 p.m. The graveside service is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Grafton Baptist Church, 425 Grafton Church Road, Hartfield.
