Alanna Billups paces Middlesex girls track team

The Middlesex High School (MHS) girls track team was paced at an Essex High School quad meet on Thursday, April 9, by double first place winner Alanna Billups, who won the long jump (15’ 6.5”) and triple jump (29’).

Karadee Anderson won the shot put (34’ 6”) and finished second in the discus (89’ 8.5”). Anderson is one of two Lady Chargers who have met the Virginia state standard to compete in the Class 1A track meet. Anderson has qualified in the shot put and Bailey Bagby has qualified in the high jump.

Others to place in the Essex meet were Anderson, second, discus (89’ 1”); Alanna Billups, second, 200 meters (28.10) and fourth, high jump (14’ 2”); Rylee Buck, fourth, 400…
