Urbanna girl, 12, finishes 10th in U.S. in horse contest

Twelve-year-old Sienna Rowe of Urbanna and her horse Nike competed in August at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions at HITS Chicago-Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Ill.

Sienna and her horse finished 10th overall in the 12-14 age group at the nationwide meet. Nike’s show name is Lightfire Just Do It and is a 10-year-old Westphalian gelding.

Sienna and Nike qualified for nationals by earning a high combined score derived from scores from three regional dressage competitions, ranking her fifth in the nation in her age group heading into the event.

Sienna and Nike will be competing in Lexington in October for a regional championship in a third level. Sienna attends Ware Academy and her parents are Jason and Emilie Rowe of Urbanna…
