William “Billy” Wade Ransone, 81, of Wake passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
He was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Grace Ransone; and brother, Morris.
Billy’s career journey spanned from the Newport News Shipyard to becoming a self-employed dump truck driver. Billy had a gift for conversation. Whether sharing stories or engaging in lively discussion, his passion for connecting with others knew no bounds. A familiar face at community music events, Billy found joy in the music and being with people.
A graveside celebration of life is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Harmony Grove Baptist Church at 7722 General Puller Highway in Harmony Village near Topping.
