Ronnie Russell of Water View was the guest speaker at Bethel Church of Mathews on Feb 9. The church is searching for a pastor.
Russell delivered a message of the importance of working to high standards. He also told an engaging story of a Christmas Eve truce in World War I between enemies, and he sang “a cappella” the verse that told the story.
Russell, a farmer, is a member of Hermitage Baptist Church in Middlesex County.
