Urbanna Baptist Church announced this week it will discontinue its 11 a.m. Sunday service in the church Fellowship Hall until after Labor Day. Instead it encourages all members and guests to the attend the 9 a.m. service each Sunday in the amphitheatre at Bethpage Camp Resort, 679 Browns Lane, Urbanna.
The outdoor service at the camp offers plenty of space for social distancing among families. It includes a musical presentation most Sundays and a brief sermon from Rev. Bruce Powers, UBC pastor. The sermon is also available each week on the church website under sermon archives.
Several UBC Sunday school classes are meeting either in person or in Zoom sessions at 10 Sundays. For information on how to join a class, call the church office at 804-758-2720 Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
