Susan Marie Dugan, 83, passed peacefully on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025.
Born Nov. 7, 1942, Susan lived a life defined by warmth, elegance, and devotion to others. After graduating from Penn Hall Preparatory School, she earned her real estate license and enjoyed a distinguished 40-year career.
Susan spent several years in Manhattan working for Peacock Alley before she and Don Paul made Deltaville their cherished home. She was active in the community, volunteering with the Maritime Museum, and a familiar presence at local events. Her strong faith also drove her active involvement at Christ Church and Catholic Church of the Visitation.
Known for her elegance, impeccable style, and gracious hospitality, she was equally admired for her kindness, generosity of spirit and unwavering love for her family and friends. Susan was a steady light — one that continues to shine in memory and spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sylvia Butz; her husband, Don Paul Dugan Jr.; her son, Joseph; and cherished dog, Mini.
She is survived by her sisters, Anita Elliott (Perry), WA and Joan Sanders (Ron); her loving companion, Alan Pinekenstein; her children, Meghann, Bill, Michael, Kelley, Dawn, Jennifer and Becky; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Susan’s life at the Chambersburg Country Club on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m.
